Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information this website (the “Site”) and its booking system collect, and how it is used. The Site is operated by McBride SOMOS Consulting, LLC, the business of Yamile “Yaya” McBride (“we”).

Information we collect

• Contact and email inquiries: your name, email, phone number and message, whatever you choose to share.
• Booking details: when you book or request an appointment, we collect your first name, email address, the appointment you chose (type, date, time, time zone, and whether it is virtual or in person), your phone number, organization and notes if you add them, and the reason you give for special or emergency requests. For in-person appointments we also keep Yaya’s approval decision.
• Birthday: on the Readings by Yaya booking form we ask for your birth month and day. Your birth year is optional. We use your birthday only to send birthday messages and to apply the birthday offer on a 6-Card Deep Dive.
• Marketing choice: whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails, and when. This box is never pre-ticked.
• Appointment activity: whether you attended your appointment, and which links in our emails you click (for example the review, social media and rebooking links), so we can stop sending reminders you have already acted on.
• Newsletter signup: your email address, if you join the mailing list.
• Basic site analytics: our hosting provider may collect standard technical information such as browser type, pages visited and general location.

How we use your information

• To schedule, confirm, remind you about and hold your appointment, and to let you know when Yaya approves or declines a request.
• To send service emails about your booking: confirmations, reminders (24 hours and 1 hour before), calendar details and Google Meet links. You receive these whether or not you opted in to marketing, because they are part of your booking.
• To ask for a review after your appointment, and to send a short reminder if you have not yet left one.
• If you opted in to marketing: offers, rebooking reminders, social media invitations, birthday messages and updates. You can opt out at any time.
• If you started a booking form but did not finish, we may send one reminder to finish booking. If you did not opt in to marketing, that is the only such message you receive.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who handles your information

We use these service providers to run the booking system. Each receives only what it needs.

• StoneBridge Solutions built and operates the booking system (Gatehouse) on our behalf, including the servers and database that store your booking details and the automation that sends our emails.
• Google Calendar and Google Meet: your appointment is added to Yaya’s Google Calendar, which shows your name and appointment time. For virtual appointments Google Meet creates the meeting link, and Google can tell us whether you joined. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy.
• Brevo: sends our emails and keeps our mailing lists. Your name, email address, birthday (month and day, and year if given), marketing choice and the page you signed up on are stored in Brevo.
• Hostinger: hosts the Site.
• Stripe: processes online card payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe, and we do not store your card number.

These providers have their own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records until you ask us to delete them by emailing privacy@mcbridesomos.com. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you but keep your record so we never email you again by mistake, unless you ask us to delete it too at privacy@mcbridesomos.com.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. When you use it, you are removed from our lists and we stop all follow-up emails to you, including review, rebooking and birthday messages. Reminders and confirmations for appointments you have already booked still go out.
• Access, correction and deletion: email privacy@mcbridesomos.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, including your birthday.
• Calendar and meeting data: you can decline or remove a calendar invitation at any time.

Children’s privacy

This Site is intended for adults, parents, educators and organizations, not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the booking form does not accept birth years that would make someone under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the most recent change.
